In 1940 the US Army ordered 700 Mack 4 x 4 truck tractors, mainly intended for ponton-carrying semi-trailers. The design was a militarised civil traffic type, partly redesigned to make it 4WD. Like the traffic type it was a Cab Over Engine (COE)-type. In 1941 there were 694 truck tractors delivered. The remainder were delivered in 1942. In the delivery of the 692 vehicles there were Ponton tractors NJU-1, 8 NJU-2. The latest model was designed to tow topographical trailers. In November 1941 a portion of the Ponton tractors were delivered to the British army in Egypt, where they bore WD H-numbers. Autocar built an equivalent that was standardised by the US Army. Some NJU-1's went in post war French army service.〔Bart Vanderveen, A record of Military Macks in the Services and Beyond, Battle of Britain International Ltd, ISBN 1 870067 09 6〕 ==Gallery== File:Mack NJU-1.1.jpg|Mack NJU-1.1 File:Mack NJU-1.2.jpg|Mack NJU-1.2 File:Mack NJU-1.3.jpg|Mack NJU-1.3 File:Mack NJU-1.4.jpg|Mack NJU-1.4 File:Mack NJU-1.5.jpg|Mack NJU-1.5 File:Mack NJU-1.6.jpg|Mack NJU-1.6 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Mack NJU Truck, Tractor, 1941」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
